You can snow ski at Mt Humphreys near Flagstaff one day, and tube the salt river near Phoenix the next - Either very hot, or very cold - not a lot of in between unless you want to live more rural.  

I have read from other that if you are near the ocean the salt air can affect the lock.

I should have said "to much copper" which much like salt, is essential, but to much can cause health issues.

Do I have any SALT limitations that are impacted since these are not owned by an LLC or do the SALT limitations only apply to primary residences?

Get some real estate related books and take it with a grain of salt that some of the books are out of date to an extent.You have to learn how to analyze a property, without being really good at it, or at least moderately good at it, you'll never know if a property is worth buying.

What about salt, pepper, hot sauce, other long life or nonperishable condiments?

That is a very desirable neighborhood.Take it with a grain of salt when people tell you San Diego's population is declining and there's a correction coming - just about every market in the country is inflated.
