List the cities that are near you and let them know you'd be willing to meet them close to where they are if you are willing to travel a little bit.These little meetings which cost you a few bucks, will be the best meetings you could have for learning how other investors have bought out of town.

I'm sure there must be a reason you are picking a place thousands of miles from home to invest (not what I would suggest) but - I would travel to the area, spend a couple of days getting to know the place, and attend a REIA meeting to meet some fellow investors before I'd through a bunch of money at it.
