I paid about 5k to replaster with a quartz chip product and retile the perimeter with blue pool tile a few years back.

It took me 2 days to repair a towel rod due to the crazy pink tile and backer board but I'm not a pro at home repairs myself.

@David McPhetres you can put in LVT or commercial tile if it takes a beating and then put an entry way mat over the area which you can throw away if slipperiness is an issue.  

It will need shower and floor tile replacement, new plumbing fixtures, and the new shower enclosure and going to cost us around $9000 all in.  

They may or may not have health issues, but if this is a repeated pattern, I'd think the latter. 

Mold is growing on the ceilings, the tile is wearing off, and the place looks really run down.I've offered the tenant a fair relocation solution - I've tried to buy them out and I've offered them a new, nicer apartment.

Save that money 100% and if you have a waiter job eat at the restaurant for free.Don't buy a new phone, make the old one due.Do you see a pattern here.

@George Kopp I have not seen anyone mention, or any consideration of alternative privacy options than blinds.There is some amazing items, for very cheap, that a person can find online now that is rather easy to apply to glass that can make it obscure, obscure with patterns, recreate stained glass that's obscure, prismatic to make some rather cool light affects.

Will tiling a shower bring in higher rents compared to just installing a prefab shower enclosure?
