I was stationed there while in the Army, but chose to live in downtown Austin and make the commute.

Charlie,The area is in a great downtown location, no flood plain and I would venture to say that it's in a stagnant economy to where it's at as in this particular case the city is growing rapidly westward. 

Right now I'm primarily considering properties downtown and in the Northland, but I'm open to other recommendations as well.  

Hello, I am in the process of finalizing a deal in East Austin (Texas), that involves building a 30 unit luxury condo's and wanted to get local investor input who have built MFR (Apartments / Condo's / Duplex / Four-plexes) in that area [East Austin / Downtown or South Austin]. 

I use to live in San Jose Japantown and worked in downtown San Jose about 5 years ago and both areas have been going through some revitalization over the last couple of years.

The move took us out to Fair Oaks which creates a very questionable timeline when you carpool with the wife and child to get back downtown for a 6:15 meetup time :(.
