In my town I am working on the concept of "accessory dwelling units" (already did one) and tiny houses.

For finishing my basement and making it a legal accessory apartment here in Lehi, it wasn't too difficult a process to go through.

Labor, that's about a day or two work for demo, another day to form, and another to pour. 4 days average, 5 max, 3 guys, that's 5k, 2k on dumpster, 2.5-3k on concrete & accessories.

Toys, lawn accessories, garbage, etc. are constantly found.

It's terrible but I buy accessories from Target before taking listing photos and return them immediately after the open house :-)  Seems silly but I swear it makes a difference:https://www.onradpad.com/9907108-apartment-652-mar...Good luck!

2) Can you build an 'accessory dwelling' on the property?  

When we do have kids, our plan is to look for a house that makes sense to build a detached accessory dwelling unit on the property.
