Even if it has a satellite reader the reader can be disconnected and still cause a problem for you as the owner.And of course make sure water bill is paid before refunding deposits to a tenant.

I think overall with the low current rate, low inventory , high demand to the suburbs, prices will be stable / might go up by 2021.For some of those companies the stock prices are totally disconnected from the actual earnings.

I'm not about to disconnect myself from my investments because I read one article in the press about some landlord getting killed either.The day I feel uneasy about turning up to collect rent, is the day everything gets sold and I buy a boat.And yes, there are time I carry.

No deposits necessary because the service isn't in our name to begin with, just in our name if/when tenant disconnects/nonpayment, whatever.

They'll probably initially push back saying that rate is for new customers only or some other BS, but some variation of the line "I'm either going to have a lower rate or your going to disconnect my service before I hang up this phone" is a pretty effective tactic.
