My inbound strategy for my local area is creating a educational hub on real estate and just try and draw as much traffic to my site as possible in order to create a large number of back links.

I was drawn to Atlanta since it seems to be a pretty good hub for some major corporate headquarters, but as I've done some more research I've gotten more aware that I'm probably too late to the party since the market has been hot for a bit now.  

There is no hub for work every day and you are out in the field, meaning business doesn't walk in your door to you as a salesperson, you have to go find it.

Anyway nothing like advice from house porn but it makes sense. 

Memphis is a "super hub" for FedEx and I've tried reaching out to them; there are other online marketplaces for traveling professionals housing, but no dice.

It's also a healthcare hub for the surrounding areas.

We tied up an apartment complex in north Dallas about a year ago because of its proximity to new traffic hubs and potential upside when it was built out.
