The unfortunately named Private Mortgage Insurance (PMI) is only available for conventional loans (Fannie, Freddie, etc.).Underwriting -- Private lending has gotten incredibly competitive.

Most important thing here is to not settle for just anyone because you’re having a hard time finding a tenant at the moment.  

You are more likely to generate small cash flow or at least break even on those at the moment.

As I'm only truly exposed to my local market, I'm curious what people think is the most undervalued major market at the moment compared to 5 years from now and WHY.

Mix of both-- we have portfolio in West Texas (at the moment comprised mostly of 1-4 unit properties) but are looking to expand into DFW multifamily now.
