Hello, I'm 30, married, and my partner and I relocating to Minneapolis/St Paul area in a few months.  

In Minneapolis, when I first started a duplex would sell for $50-$90k on east side of the river and $30-$60k on the west side (during the crash).

If anybody in Twin cities, or Minneapolis, Minnesota, lake Minnetonka region what to chime in with their experience that would be great.

There are many streets like that in Minneapolis and for the most part they do well.

Hey everyone, I’m gonna revive this post for an issue I’m running into that others looking to house hack multiple properties will likely encounter as well :) I am currently living in 1 unit of a 4plex in Harrison neighborhood in Minneapolis and have been for 2 years now.

We are closing next week on a place in general Minneapolis area that will be around $300 positive/month and that sounded very good.Personally after a couple purchases now, we prefer the monthly cash flow over appreciation.

I’ve run into this very problem in Minneapolis.
