That's like the local grocery store advertising "Buy more and save more"...But I would pay the bank $1000 in interest if the $31,000 borrowed money (or here not yet paid back money at 3.2%) can be invested in RE, for example, that gives me more than $1000 in NOI for the same time period.

We also know it doesn't have to be a complete room.So as an extreme case, couldn't I have a filing cabinet, dedicate the 2 sqft exclusively to the rental business, because all I store in there (and on top) is rental related stuff.

Your target tenant will probably have kids, lots of stuff to store in the garage and such, too.Personally, I like neighborhoods that skew with older demographics; people I can buy from with paper or from their children or even their heirs.

Other than that, I've never stored any personal property at my rental properties that I felt was valuable enough to insure.Whether to carry Loss of Rents coverage is another business decision.
