A few months later, I received a letter from him, along with an apology and payment for two months rent - he had to return home urgently for a family emergency, bought a plane ticket and left.The "Take me Home" card plays well with our student tenants and their parents (who seem not to get the double entendre of the phase .... or are not willing to acknowledge it ... frankly we missed it initially as well until one of our tenants pointed it out).

Yes @Mashika Patrick we were planing an in person meet up on 3/17. 

As I was waiting to "de-plane" (a term that I've always thought was weird), I checked my cell phone to get flight updates on my connection - and the phone rang.

Being OOS my PM is far cheaper than the plane tickets it'd take to do what they do.... if I was local then I'd probably look at the value differently.

So there are several advantages to planing to hold rental RE in a retirement account.

Worth a plane ticket for you or another to go out there (if still deployed).

I used to hanger my plane there at Hawkins field  in West Jackson...
