Anyone who says it is has probably never had to clean a real bad one......you know, the ones where you have to wear 2 masks....and even after the carpet is out and the subfloors sanded, and new primer and paint.....you can still not walk in the house.

I am assuming it is similar everywhere:- peeling paint- smoke/CO2 detectors- hand railings sturdy and in place where needed- windows open and close properly- heat/hot water functioning as it should- any obvious safety issues

Since it is all new wood decking, I would use a clear preservative to maintain the beauty of the wood while still giving it the protection it needs.Paint peels and needs repainting from time to time.
