The legislation for ADUs is new and like solar back in the day, this will probably take appraisers and banks a while to catch up on how to properly value the properties.Still hoping for some insight on this issue, I can imagine that this will happen more and more often with house hackers.

Has anybody here ever had a lawyer "review", not create or draft, docs for them... perhaps an annual check against new legislation, etc.

Florida is a legislative state which means it was slower than other states in getting the foreclosed inventory on the market.  

Here at home, the legislation is quite clear that a (first) Notice to Vacate remains in effect until all arrears have been paid.  

(Note:  I've been working on the LLC/Eviction issue for several years at the Statehouse and have another legislator ready to take up this issue again for our industry.  

As I said, many of the mod's in the market have pushed those rates down to 1% and 2%, so even from a rate stand piont, it benefits the lender, which is the same reason the legislation was created to begin with.

I find the CE for these annually is valuable to stay up on current legislation and trends and they do dive into RE related subjects.
