1) Capital improvement can be added to to original cost basis thus would reduce your tax paid on capital gain had you decide to sell it later.

He and I have discussed on several occasions that fact that current CSLB wording  that limits handymen $500 per project is the maximum for both materials AND labor per project and that that would be the basis for fairness sake especially since I give him the project but still end up helping alot anyways.

In my book, when you use questionable marketing practices and half-truths on a systematic basis, pretend that you have the interest of the buyer's at heart when in reality you get your pay from and therefore have your interests aligned with those of the developer (and only mention it in the small print that nobody sees because you legally have to), you can't be trusted on anything.Again, I hate to be the party pooper and I hope you'll do as well as you can but I think it not sharing this would be a disservice to the BP community.
