Then I discovered Chief Architect which is nice as a lot of things I'd spend a lot of time making (like cabinets) only take a few clicks in this software.That said, this software is much more expensive. 

I have paneling, ugly carpets, crappy appliances, run down kitchen cabinets and horrible window coverings.

Much less upper cabinet space in the kitchen.  

did you keep the Original kitchen cabinets or just restained?  

When I came back a couple days later, the heat was turned up to 90 degrees, he stole my kitchen faucet and other materials, cut some cable wires, and stole knobs off cabinets, etc.  

(Trims missing, flooring is mess, needs paint all arround, mismatched cabinets in the kitchen, missing gutter, etc).

It's got built-in and add-in features that are specifically for house layouts (toilet, vanity, shower, kitchen cabinets, etc.).

Another 2/2 sold for 120K but has remodeled kitchen, granite countertop, new cabinets, crown mouldings, new flooring thorough and a garage.

The Kitchen also has tile and new cheap cabinets and counter tops.This would be my second real estate purchase and my first investment deal.So,Do experienced buy/holders avoid old houses like this?

It is newly painted on the exterior and interior, new carpets, hardwood floors down stairs, new bathroom fixtures, kitchen cabinets, two car garage.
