Our office specialty is dealing with pre-construction here in South Florida.My wife has been in lending for most of her career and together we are now starting to get into RE investing.Mostly because stock and bonds lost our confidence and RE seems to be so much more profitable.

10-18% return on their $$(& while not exactly IRA or Stock Market returns it IS also SECURED W/DIRT?

It certainly beats the crap out of working an additionl 40 hrs/week to gain overtime salary.Maybe it's more like this-- it's better ROI to put your cash in a money market account than keep it under your mattress; but it's better to put it into an index fund than a money market; better still to select a prize-winning stock; better still to correctly pick hedge funds/explosive growth companies, etc., etc.

Real Estate in CA is better than stock market or CD today.
