Two issues we've found with craigslist is an increasing problem with ads being "stolen" by scammers and relisted at lower rental rates (it's gotten to the point where we no longer post the address of the rental and at times, have to place a notice on the door of the rental warning others of the scam) and ads being lost in repeated ads for the same apartment complexes, townhouses, duplexes and "rent to own" ads that, again, sound too good to be true (i.e., $400 for a 5 bedroom, 3 bath house).Some of the other sites appear to have tighter controls over these nonsense ads.Gail

When we bought it, it had structure issues, mold, no HVAC, leaky roof(cough, cough-- 4 layers of shingles), stolen copper pipes, closed off floor plan pretty much all the bad cards were thrown our way...

Never heard of a buyer backing out on something like that, if anything I would think they'd enjoy having a brand new unit (I assume you, as the seller, replaced the unit after it was stolen).

Keep in mind that many offices are short staffed around holiday weeks as well as JP are on vacation (I know this is not what you want to hear))Suggestions :Call your tenant and explain to them that the eviction has been granted and the next step is their belongings will be moved to the curb and at that point you are not responsible if items are stolen so it would be best if they move out now to protect their belongings(And better for you !)
