DO they require you to preserve certain parts of the "church" such as stain glass windows etc.  

It does need the floors sanded and stain in one unit and walls painted and some minor carpentry work.

Most of the wallpaper needs removed its old and stained.

Even customizes stain colors for the home owner.

The local inspectors here spot every defect and require them to be fixed (small leak stain on ceiling, tenant-destroyed drawer, plastic accordian door off its hinges, etc.)
