It’s a small driveway too but he insists on salting like 3X per weather event and the price has added up.

It was hard to say goodbye to my babies I started this journey back in 2006 (18 years ago) The truly sobering thing about this event is that I was able to achieve these same financial results in ONE year with my first larger commercial deal; and replace my wife's income with that deal.  

But when we go ten years without a major hurricane event despite all the predictions that they would get worse . . . meh.Climate fluctuates by the minute, hour, day, week, month, season, year, decade, and century.  

I highly suggest that you try to attend your local REI networking groups and meetups.

I'm in Livonia / Canton area and I haven't attended any Washtenaw County or Ann Arbor REIA events but I do attend the Oakland County REAI meeting in Troy as well as the Michigan REIA meetings in Troy and they are super helpful and if you sign up to get their emails you can check the topics in advance to make sure it's worth the trip for that meeting.They usually have really good speakers. 

And I do like the idea of bucking the trend, being a little contrarian, etc.If you haven't already done so, I'd recommend attending an upcoming RI Real Estate Investors Group meeting, which meets monthly in person for members and monthly virtually for members and non-members.

However, if you're looking to stay up to date on meetups/investor groups in an area, I would enter the filter "Real Estate Events and Happenings" as shown in the photo below.

Furthermore, with all the nuances of the situation and the  timeline of events, you don't want anything to be turned around against you.

I am not sure there are region specific forums, but you can search for posts and events based on city.
