A large portion of people that get conned or scammed are adults and decent people.....doesn't justify the scam artist screwing them.

One contractor a few years ago scammed me and ended up walking away with $2,800 without doing any work.However, I'm still willing to pay contractors up front.

She has most of her paperwork and is questioning if she was scammed and a victim of fraud.

That said, the thought of purchasing discounted gift cards online makes the hair on my neck stand up a bit - considering the potential to be scammed.

I am not a fan of get rich quick scams. 

To me it's like the advance loan fee scams - you pay the points upfront regardless if you get the loan or not.
