Are there any tips, tricks, or guides for turning on utilities after close of escrow and possession?

I know this is an old post but did you even end up taking the course? 

Without understanding what you want to accomplish, it can be difficult to determine the best course of action.  

The other thing is that there will be no financing contingency of course, so you can't get your emd back if the loan falls through because, well, there's not supposed to be a loan.I would just get a preapproval letter and offer that.

I've found lots of templates online, so I think I'll be ok.
