I tried investing with FundRise but they stated that the IRA can only be accepted if it's held by their partner, MTC. 

For inexperience buyers, buying real estate is a complex transaction and they want their hand held by someone who does it day in and day out.

If you purchased back in 2011 and you held on to your property you pretty much doubled the value and then some.  

@Soumya Brijesh, if you have a property in Miami that you can even smell the saltwater from and a seller is willing to take back a seller held simo purchase money 2nd mtg and with that much equity, you had better not make ridiculous offers as you will likely do, what as a FL Mortgage Broker I see so many investors do, and that is......Negotiated their selves right out of a good deal! 

You just need to insert a provision in the contract regarding the agreed seller-held financing.
