. - I think prior to a walkthrough the seller has little/no relationship with you as a potential buyer, so I wouldn't expect more than a rent roll and a list of expenses.

I would expect that to happen.. you eat the time but should not eat the cost of the fix. 

@Anna RamashkevichRecommend you first figure out the property Class you want to invest in, THEN figure out the corresponding location to invest in.If you apply Class A assumptions to a Class B or C purchase, your expectations won’t be met and it may be a financial disaster.So, when investing in areas they don’t really know, investors should research the different property Class submarkets.

Why get an MTR far away when you have to furnish it and expect 4-8 guests a year instead of an LTR closer with 1 tenant a year even if you make less so you can learn more?

I now make it a habit to set clear expectations with lenders upfront and ask about their average response time

Demand for housing in Bali exceeds availability, and favorable construction costs, salaries, regulations, and taxes make Bali an attractive destination for real estate investors.As @Benjamin Werner mentioned owning property in Bali works a bit differently than you probably would expect.
