I am in search of a local architect for a small multi family project I am building In Las Cruces, NM.

I come across such projects and never know what architect to call.

Construction 4. building plans 5. city permits (zoning and building) etc and you or anyone else may be saying : well you are not going to do all of those... you are not... but you need to be able to recognize when people are over changing you, or not doing enough work for the money you have paid them already... etc You have to  be able to assemble teams: realtors, contractors, architects and drafters... or work with someone that can plug you in with their team. the list goes on. 

@Shawn Jorgensen welcome to BP, I'm new to the REI end of things but I am a Licensed Architect experienced in residential remodeling and construction.

Also, when completing a project of this size, do you hire an architect and engineer to draw up the design or would the construction company do that as part of the rehab? 

I am a Licensed Architect by trade, specializing in residential remodeling & construction and looking to get into REI.

Maybe an architect and an attorney to review all the zoning and building code requirements. 

Anybody would know an architect in Southern California preferably in the San Diego area?

Architects are a potential contact but I have found them very self-serving in that market segment and not of much help. 

Besides our business model, Nick is a professional licensed architect and licensed realtor, and I am an engineer and MBA.
