Hi i'm currently a student at University, i'm fairly new and i was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. 

There seem to be different posts in various threads about renting by the room to students.

My plan is to fix this house up while I live in it (minor cosmetics like paint, clean the outside up...etc) After the first semester I plan to get the house appraised and refinance so that I can put a down payment on another house within a mile of campus, fix the place up while I live in it, and rent it out to students along with renting out the first house.

As a broke college student I found a way to meet my needs.

I am majoring in Industrial Engineering and plan to go into consulting for a few years upon graduating while I pay down my student debt.

Yup those that teach make far more   and I mean FAR more than the students.. that's a given.

So far I've told them that no one can move in until rent has been paid.More background information - All of the tenants are college students.

Since fall semester is starting back for students in this area in less than a month it is unlikely I find other tenants.

I had recently bought a house and then financed everything I could from a house to car to clothing wedding ring two vehicles and who could forget student loans.

Student Loans are kicking my butt and am having trouble getting pre approved for much to get the first deal.
