the lower level is approx 700 sqft and upper is approx 600. the 700 sqft unit is rented month to month on the lower end of market rents with a tenant who has been there for 12 years.

@Yan GaoIf you both plan to live separately in two different states - Normally the requirement at the state level is that you will need to file married filing separate tax returns.

This is an issue that will continue to get worse since it will be amplified (to some extent) by the states running out of $$ for unemployment (if they haven't at the state level already), and they will be left with just the $300/week through the end of March at the federal level. I

If a primary home on ground level is valued at $200 a sq foot as an example, what is a safe estimate to value an above the garage apartment as that is on the same lot?
