My dad has a rental in Brentwood CA and the HVAC (central heat/cooling) is falling apart.

If I can become stronger financially in a less expensive market than I would have if I had stayed in HB, I will be in a better position to move back to Huntington Beach at a later point in life if we decide to do so, and hopefully at a time in the market cycle when things will cool down (although that may not happen in HB).
