When I called the branch to confirm this, they tried to transfer me to the online banking department.I will be heading to Bank of the West sometime this week to shut my account and open an account with a competitor a few blocks away where my tenants can still conveniently pay rent.

Account ClosedFrigidaire usually has pretty cheap new kitchen appliances compared to their competitors.

But the issue is competitors will bid up the price to nowhere near 70% fair market value and including repairs.

You can also lose them to the competitor, you do not want to lose 100% of your income because you forced 5% increase in rent.

Also, lenders will often say, we will beat our competitors.

As the years have gone by, my biggest competitors have become the nearby hotels.

Avoid creating yourself another "situation" and consider moving to a rental to be "market/competitor intelligence." 

Airdna’s business model is also based on providing accurate data, especially with many new competitors entering their space.

Check those out and go on airBNB directly and put in the location and the same number of bedrooms/guests to see who your competitor are.

If the property doesn't have something that gives it an edge over its competitors in terms of location or amenities, then I think those properties are going to take a bit of a revenue hit this year.Mike
