Take this for honest feedback and not kicking you while you're down -If estimating accurately was as easy as simple (sqft * $$) you'd rarely see a contractor go out of business and investors would all fly on private jets to eat lunch in Tokyo, dinner in Paris and breakfast in New York.

Many buyers won't notice the difference between it and hardwood or it will look better to them because of the design or texture.

Use pattern and texture - not colour - for variety: translation: use more than one type of tile in the bathroom differing only in size, style or texture.  

Things to consider are tile size (timeless 8x8, 12x12, 16x16, subway, vs trendy 6x24, large plank tiles, etc.) textures (trendy fabric look) and colors.  

I came to the conclusion that most people won't notice the different textures from room to room unless the texture and paint job is poor.

Could I add some skinny moulding pieces in rectangular shapes near the edges of each wood slab to add some texture?

Newer models are basically the same dishwasher with just different skins.Is the ceiling heavily textured or is that popcorn?

While I love the texture that these cedar planks bring, it's pretty massive and could be muted if I paint it.
