On my first rehab, I removed it myself - just had to wear one of those respirator masks.

If one piece is ruined, he can literally peel it off and slap in a new one in less than a minute.

The biggest issue I've seen with white cabinets is that the covering (thermofoil) can peel in a few years.

Or you will find that paint peeling away if the floor ever gets wet again ...

You don't know what product they used before - oil based vs water based, etc......you don't want the trim peeling in a year.....If you can afford a little extra $$, have your painter spray the cabinets with enamel.

It's just part of nature and something you have to accept as a cost of doing business.It literally involves ten minutes of time to crawl under the house with a garbage bag, mask, and gloves.

Masks on and socially distanced for sure, but faces (though we have pictures here) with names is always good. 

Lots of hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, and mask & gloves!

Also they used cheap materials so the floor was also peeling and cracking along the seams.

Just a few questions I had to cut some costs as we peel back the onion of the house hacking world!
