We have been all over the world ( and as you point out at an age we could easily do it) We still travel but we have international clients so we travel to see them. 

Kids can easily climb horizontal cables or metal, but not the vertical posts. 

I don't think I will ever fully retire but I plan to be doing less active work in the future, i.e. not focusing on writing new loans and not flipping.I am lucky that I can easily handle a down turn and be just fine if things soften even for an extended time but I still hope that doesn't happen.

I'd look at land development as an equity capture tool to generate additional returns. land is a buyer's market in almost every market. you just have to expand what you are willing to do or your strategies.

It just means expanding your search area a little and knowing what to look for.
