Shingles at HD are ~$100/sq.

I am looking at leaving my corporate gig and "hanging out my shingle" as a solo employee.

Roof is composition shingle which may need to be replaced.

Asking for a new roof when you can see the shingles are crumbling or water stains inside on the ceiling, they're not going to go for that.

I believe it is the shingle siding.  

When we bought it, it had structure issues, mold,  no HVAC, leaky roof(cough, cough-- 4 layers of shingles), stolen copper pipes, closed off floor plan pretty much all the bad cards were thrown our way...  

However, he installs new 30 year architectural shingles, Stainless appliances, hardwood and tile floors, newly painted interior and exteriors, and more.If you are going to own a property on a street of mostly rental homes, I'd suggest that you stand out from the crowd.

I'd rather of a metal or commerical shingle roof instead of an asphalt shingle roof.

Tax preparation is largely unregulated - anyone can hang a shingle and call themselves a "tax professional".
