I have to just shake my head at this.....as a former listing agent and negotiator on short sales, I would Never allow the contract to be written with an inspection period "after bank approval" just for reasons like this....60-90 days in, and buyer can just change their mind.  

I currently live about 50 yards from them and it can be very loud at times and shakes the building when they go by.

I was left shaking my head in disbelief and wondering how I was going to continue making a living in real estate!

Arguing over whether the plumbing was beyond its useful life and whether this was written down in some disclosure would be really ridiculousIf I were the seller and someone tried to do this to me I would harbour serious ill will towards them because I would consider it an attempt to shake me down not an attempt to receive something they are justly owed.I think having a good reputation among the community of Real Estate Investors is very valuable.

Overall even if it hurts real estate investing could shake up the tight market and reward those willing to jump in

I can understand them wanting to re-evaluate after everything shakes out.
