Unfortunately, investing is still the wild west in that anyone can claim anything with few consequences, so it's advisable to believe none of what you hear and only half of what you see.

If it's 'good enough' buy it to start building a reputation as a closer with them.I would also be inclined to work with investors who I've met in person.
