What other assets are good at hedging against inflation besides real estate?

IN our area the only one's that sell like that would be an extreme hoarder situation.. or the wholesaler is taking advantage of the uniformed and lying about the true value of the homeI walked into one home .. talked with the owners they were shopping it.. this is pre ANTI foreclosure skimming laws that went into effect on the west coast in 07 08.they said there was another person there before me but they did not think they signed a binding contract.. well I said let me look at it.well not only did they sign a contract the wholesaler rushed a notary over and they actually signed a deed .. for 10 dollar of consideration.. but had not paid anything else then went and recorded it.

The other company says that due to the anti-microbial spray that has been applied and the drying fans and dehumidifier that are currently running that it is safe for the tenants to be in the house.  

And I personally do not invest in any notes in the Chicago area (Cook County) due to the anti-lender atmosphere.

That's been stopped, as part of some federal anti-money laundering effort.  

There was some talk about anti forclosure on VA's , I didn't pay too much attention to it however.

I don't think the tenants understand they think as the landlord I can just go up there and throw them out or kick the dogs outside when I can't as far as I know by law new York is very anti landlord with laws and processes.
