Are you going to self-manage or hire a management company?

I built a house out there in 2015 and overtime the Defense industry, then tech industry moved into our city. 

We are self managing it as we live fairly close.

Market OverviewThe Los Angeles self-storage market showed signs of stabilization in Q1 2024 after experiencing some softening in 2023.

And ideally, I am perfectly ok with managing the properties on the side of my w-2 job with my brother, but my goal is to get enough cash flow for myself and my brother to be self employed, and hire property management and any needed employees to reduce our workload as quickly as possible, so we can continue to expand into other investments.

I don’t understand why people ask for advice from people then get defensive about it.

Now, since as much as 7 out of 10 businesses fail these days; I am not sure how secure starting one's own business is either without a huge safety net.There's no guarantee that REI, self-employment or W2 workers will always be safe and sound.
