Longer term we could see the deflationary pressures that Europe and Japan have been dealing with for some time (changes in demographics, increased savings rates to counter low yields, etc). 

Not one tenant agreed with me.Although I find it easier to address a problem "head on" I think most people are wired to avoid "conflict".It's not easy for most people to willingly place themselves in uncomfortable situations.The stress, due to lack of information, is mounting everyday, for both landlords and tenants.I do agree with a previous poster about the need to (find a way) to be equitable *when* working on a solution, even with so many variables in tenant's circumstances.Even tenants that aren't particularly fond of each other are having long, involved, daily conversations with each other over " the rent"Many of us volunteer at local pantries and have direct contact with the many, hard working, used to be middle class, families, that, through no direct fault of their own, are already homeless.Even if they are lucky?

It would be less destructive than running duct work and they can mount on a wall in a small closet.

last thing you need is your sub trades all going home and putting more pressure on those trying to pay rent..

So there was some added stress/pressure to find new tenants since you have the bank to pay back and the terms you agreed upon with your business partner for their payback.

I've been looking in the mount adams area but would love to learn about other neighborhoods that could be interesting for an owner occupied property.Thanks!

Management that can't keep the water pressure up or service on, or trash picked up.  

It needs a rehab loan because the plumbing in the triplex doesn't hold pressure.

A completely different set of pressures to learn to navigate.
