Most of the new houses being built seem to have a South African Dutch, Colonial, Farmhouse, or Tudor style (depending on the area) are combination thereof.

Yes I'd take a recession I cant see how you would think that being from MI one of the hardest hit states in the country.. the carnage was immense who would want to see that again.. at least as it relates to Detroit metro its finally finding its footing after 15 years of decimation.. cant see how anyone would want bad things to happen again..

My next door neighbor was renting his house out and not once but twice, I had a knock on the door of a potential tenant ask me if my neighbor was a doctor in some African country. 

Craigslist is immensely effective around here for finding tenants of all kinds.
