There aren't as many resources for rent to own agreements as there are for standard rental agreements, so I just wanted to inquire and network with investors in the upstate area if they are using it.What criteria do you have when looking for deals?

Hello everyone,My Canadian company owns a residential property in California and I want to sell it to my own personal name as I am closing my company.I don't know which professional to consult to help me do the transfer besides my CPA.Can I do the transfer of the deed myself (going to the County Recorder’s Office) and just check with my CPA for taxes due?

@Rachel Seymour-Newton  there are definitely other sources for leads, which is why I mentioned hitting up a REIA and networking. 

I do real estate on the side and I don’t think I would have been able to do that without the frame-work and I have in place thanks to Palak and Niti and Open Spaces.They were so generous with their contacts and resources - I connected with many people from their network and am working with them!

If you want to rehab in that market, perhaps spend some time networking there and maybe you will find someone whom you can partner up with who has experience in the local market and with rehabs.

OOS investing is not as easy as advertised, and if you pick a market thousands of miles away based solely on numbers it may be tough to build a network and get started. 

Networking is an excellent way to dive in quickly.
