I've recently had an offer excepted on a duplex in southeastern Michigan that I intended on starting my first house hack in after obtaining an FHA loan.

This property is in a good location and has a potential for strong growth in its value, given the recent bump that properties in southeastern Wisconsin have been experiencing.

From what I've seen I would say it's a class C neighborhood.Does anyone have experience living in or renting out a property in Glenbrook or South Eastern Columbus in general?

Details of PropertyHad previous offer, financing fell through, came back onto market.Asking price $225,000, 1958sqft, 1 bed per unit, 1 bath per unit, 1 living room per unit, 2 story Built in 1922, rubber roof, aluminum exterior, 1 furnace (1995), 1 water heater(not sure on year), 1 water storage tank (was listed on condition report), units are definitely dated and could use some nice touching up (which I plan on doing myself to get some experience).

Here were all the issues:1) Sizeable roof leak into the living room and other areas of house2) Large foundation crack 3) Extensive termite damage on wooden foundation post4) Outdated electrical, including aluminum wiring5) WET crawlspace.
