Taking that money out and anything that leads to more people using the equity from their homes and reduces the friction to that process is not good in the long run.

t show.I read your story and it leads me to believe you were dealing with a HM broker and not the lender directly cause they won't even schedule a closing unless the loan passes UW, gets voted on by committee, and then stamped with final approval. 

Plus, it is a very family driven demographic which leads to tenants staying in properties longer.
