@David Sharp The best deals are on Craigslist, people are constantly begging people to drag the unit off their property, you pay $4-5k to move it, and put $7,500-$10,000 into rehabbing it and all of a sudden you have a beautiful home that cost you only $15,000.

But I will say that the beauty of real estate is that EVERYTHING IS NEGOTIABLE.

This was the route taken for my grandparents cottage and it came out beautifully. 

That is the beauty of this... based on your abilities you can create whatever kind of deal you want.

SR is pretty NICE as you know .I like MI there are some beautiful places there no doubt especially up state and of course if your into boating your surrounded by the great lakes.

I wrote another post about this whole experience in the DIY forums.Our first attempt did not go as planned, but still looked interesting.Second attempt/application was more what we wanted and it turned out beautiful!
