OK folks I have real world experience at this. 

I have used two companies, and while they are both more expensive than regular insurance, they have extra coverage that is specific to STRs.  

It's easy to obtain, costs very little, and doesn't require extra, on-going effort to maintain.

The folks I have spoken to have been incredibly generous with their time and willing to help in any way.
