As it is, there are more households forming than there are new construction starts coming online. 

Ultimately, my vision is partnering with a private lender so I can spread my funds across multiple deals at once and scale quicker; I'm really happy so far with my agents, contractor, and refi lender, so I feel like getting a great lender would be the next step for me.

We basically veered off when we allowed him to say it will not be much and considered our past jobs together as a form of someone not trying to pull this sort of stunt.  

Today, he was showing me a property I had asked to see and he let me know he had another one coming soon that he thought would be a good fit for me.

Next you want to form an LLC that will serve as the management company for your LLC and perform duties including rent collections and sign all contracts on behalf of the business.

Friend of a friend with a portfolio of 30+ homes was contacted by them to basically sell his portfolio to them in exchange for shares. that would be a HUGE non starter for me..

Realtors do this every day.. this is not an uncommon experience.. just ask one who has dealt with a listing that is going through a divorce.. the really hairy ones for me is when I bought at court house steps  and then go to the door to introduce myself as the new owner..

Let me put it this way.  1 year of coaching for me-  136 doors later...

It took a big "aha" moment for me about 3 years ago to realize that I don't HAVE to stay in that part of Brooklyn (or NYC in general). 

It worked for me.
