When the tenant moves out, and calls to disconnect service, the utility will automatically switch to my name.

He made us put a "disconnect" outside because "if someone finished this wall with drywall and put a screw in the cable, the whole house will burn down before it blows the transformer on the pole"

The detector is hardwired to the house so I am unsure of how to disconnect it.

So, not using carpet in hallways but if only in bedrooms it's disconnected from other rooms and relatively easy to replace. 

Then today I called and her phone was disconnected, and the emails I sent over the weekend and today have not been answered...

Traced it back to a buried sub-panel & disconnected it.Good thing my guy didn't slam the shovel down into out.

They aren't connected to any light switches so I am guessing they were disconnected but I was wondering what purpose they had and I guess there is no harm in leaving them there other than being an eyesore.  

I just received a disconnect notice from the city, they are two months late again!

Sometimes there are disconnects with reissuing the entitlement back to the veteran but nothing that cannot be fixed with proper documentation.
