Also, there are some classes that might be better to attend in a classroom as you'll get mcuh more out of a classroom than reading text and taking a test that was spoon fed to you.....IMO.

I don't expect to be spoon fed an education about the neighborhoods, but i was wondering if anyone had any specific pointers for me about researching the different neighborhoods in terms of what would be the right fit for me to invest in?

To avoid appearing like you want to be spoon fed, do some things that will show that you are willing to make a personal contribution to your learning by doing the things that are easy to do on your own.
