Houston (4th largest city in America) is the most diverse city in America today. http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-houston-divers...bit cities are IMO pretty comparable as far as culture, politics etc in most places in the country.

If you have a "local agent" or someone who isn't widely licensed, you would be forced to do your research and due diligence all over again to find a new broker.The other advantage of having a broker who is licensed in all 50 and who specializes in helping investors is they will have a wider, more divers knowledge of how insurance is trending across multiple states as well as multiple carriers in those states.
