But if you are the active type that would rather spend your free time at the beach, working out, scuba diving, road biking, hiking, surfing etc then this is paradise.

Personal GoalsWork towards furthering my SCUBA certifications such as Public Saftey Diver and begin Technical Diving and Cave Diving training.Try to control the amount of planned travel for 2021 since I already have several trips set for 2020.But when I do plan travel, begin traveling to further-away locations such as Thailand, New Zealand, Australia and similar options.Read more books...well, Audibles. :-)Push harder to relocate full-time to Florida.

If Ca  falls into the ocean I will open up a scuba dive tour of old Hollywood movie lots.

I used to kayak on Lake Union and even spent some time scuba diving under it.

Houston (4th largest city in America) is the most diverse city in America today. http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-houston-divers...bit cities are IMO pretty comparable as far as culture, politics etc in most places in the country. 

I'd like to visit Florida for extended visits (I'm a scuba diver, so Jupiter, west beach, Tallahassee) and could see myself doing the remodel myself over there, maybe that's a good option?

Then in 2009 the housing bubble burst, real estate prices took a dive, rents came down and your cash flow suddenly disappeared and you owned a once $800K property that is now worth $550K.

Scuba Diving here is amazing.
