@Chris Brown there is a lot of fraud on FB marketplace.

Unfortunately, Facebook is not a trustworthy source for verifying someone's identity.

Do they really know what they are doing, are they compliant with laws, do they hold the appropriate licenses, if there is fraud or errors can they buy it back and make good on any guarantee?

I am starting to worry it’s fraud and will be seeking legal counsel on next steps . 

Due to recent security frauds and banks not covering losses adequately, apps like Zelle may not currently be the best option.

However I have experienced a lot of fraud, so govern accordingly.

Because honestly, at one point, I considered his offer and was afraid of the possibility that if I didn't accept I'd be taken to court and be responsible for putting my children on the street, and I can see those types of scare tactics and resulting emotions being enough to scare someone into complying with a transaction no matter how laden it is with misrepresentation, non disclosure and fraud it could be.Again, I don't know if I misunderstood the laws and regulations or not, I could be wrong.

Forget the VERY obvious (to the IRS) tax fraud.
