Sarasota had a huge inventory 5 years ago, compared to the rest of Florida, but market is healthier now.

I never do anything expecting to get time with them out of it or to be able to ask them questions, but over time many of these investors have organically become part of my ecosystem and people that I regularly text with or grab a bite to eat with when we're in the same city.

In under 6 months, I closed on a 212 unit deal as a DIRECT result of Rod Khleif and his amazing ecosystem.

But the good news is that the market is healthier and financing is easier to come by (HML are generally cheaper than back in 2009, conventional is way easier to work with these days) and many of us have a little extra money to invest. 

An ecosystem is taking shape there.

If the corporation friendly tax policies changes, the local ecosystem may / will be very negatively impacted.

There is no doubt that with continuous efforts of deleveraging by policy makers, the housing market becomes a lot healthier than before.

To the best of my knowledge none of the high rises here includes the basic ecosystems like a grocery store, pharmacy, restaurants, etc.

REI makes it healthier each year.

Perhaps develop a RE vertical, but you might want to go after a healthier category (healthcare for instance).Save cash like crazy, build credit and invest in RE on the side.
