However i'm not a resident or citizen of the USA so would this be possible through setting up an LLC and still living abroad and doing any related work remotely, or would an E2 visa be the best option. or would it not be possible at all?

Hi all,I am closing in on a deal and will be using my fiancee's HELOC (she owns the current property we live in) to fund the entire purchase, no loan will be used.

My number one goal for 2018 was creating a financial plan for my fiancee and I to support our early retirement goals, and that led me to real estate. 

Median home prices are also $300k here.I'd figure out where I was moving to visa vie 'the West coast' and research deep into a tertiary market there. 

that's what I was thinking but could not eloquently elaborate.. when you live in CA  buying in a state with no income tax does not give you any benefit vis a vi not paying tax.. and in fact a state like Texas were the property tax's are uber high..

My fiancee is currently in his first year of law school in another state and I want to be able to buy a house near the school, where he can be in one unit and rent out the others to his classmates.

My fiancee and I are looking into moving in with her parents soon to build up some savings, and we plan to move onto a multifamily with our next purchase.
